Carlson McCain engineers are in Green River, Wyoming, working on a liner construction project for a tailings pond. They are inspecting the geomembrane liner installation for a 26-acre phase of the pond for Sisecam Wyoming at their Big Island Mine. The facility mines trona, which it refines into soda ash, and is one of the global leaders in soda ash production.  The pond will be used to dispose by-product tailings from the refining process in an environmentally friendly manner.

Professional services provided include:

• Develop plans and specifications for liner installation,
• Provide construction observation, documentation, and quality assurance throughout the installation process, and
• Prepare certification materials and assist in construction certification.
