Xcel Energy Minnesota is voluntarily conducting remediation of their Riverside ash storage facility, which will be redeveloped into their new service center site. Xcel is relocating all the ash that is being excavated to the Sherco Generating Plant in Becker, MN so that the property can be completely restored.

Carlson McCain has conducted an environmental investigation of the site, developed a Response Action Plan, and began clean up on May 10th,2021. Throughout this process, Rachel Contracting will be providing the excavation equipment and trucking needed to get this project completed.
